The Law Director, Gina Space, serves as the legal representative and advisor to the City of Dover. She is in constant contact with the Mayor and City Council to provide guidance for all legal issues appearing in civic offices including contracts, ordinances, litigation, court cases and all other issues concerning the law.

When requested, the Law Director also gives her opinion concerning the legal powers and duties of the Mayor and City Council.
