Dover Light & Power

Dover has been in the business of providing dependable, reliable electricity for its residents for over a century!  February 15, 2024 will mark 114 years of public power in the City of Dover.  Service began by providing street lighting during limited hours. Now, Dover Light & Power provides reliable and affordable energy to nearly 14,000 residents and almost 1,000 businesses.

Throughout the history of Dover Light & Power, crews have continued to reach to the future, adapting quickly to the energy needs of the city.
