The City of Dover is proud to announce that Dover Light & Power has been recognized by the American Public Power Association for achieving exceptional electric reliability in 2025!

Dover’s electric system ranks in the top 25% of utilities nationwide for System Average Interruption Duration Index (SAIDI), earning them a 2025 Certificate of Excellence in Reliability, an honor to both our Electric Generation and Electric Distribution Departments.

This honor highlights the hard work and dedication of our Dover Light and Power employees and emphasizes our mission to provide safe, reliable, and affordable power to our community.
