Commission will give an open competitive examination for the position of Police Officer, Police Department, City of Dover, according to the Ohio Revised Code Section 124

TITLE OF EXAMINATION: Police Officer

DATE & TIME: Friday, October 2nd, 2026 9:00 a.m.

PLEASE NOTE: Physical agility testing to follow written testing.

APPLICATIONS FOR EXAMINATION:

All applicants shall file with the Civil Service Commission, an application for examination no later than Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 4:00 P.M. Applications are available in the Mayor’s Office at the Dover Municipal Building or you may obtain an application from the City of Dover website. A $20.00 fee for testing shall be paid at the time the employment application is filed with the Civil Service Commission. Those applicants who cannot afford to pay the $20.00 testing fee may sign a poverty affidavit and submit it along with the employment application to the Civil Service Commission.
