Job Title: Power Plant Maintenance Worker Trainee (Boiler Side)

Job Description:

Dover Light and Power is seeking applications for the position of Power Plant Maintenance Worker Trainee (Boiler Side).  Under the direct supervision of a licensed Power Plant Maintenance Worker, Operating Engineer or Stationary Fireman, as a trainee, performs semi-skilled laboring tasks connected with the operation of a power plant on rotating shifts. 

Rate of Pay:  $27.11
Hours:  Rotating Shifts

Qualifications:
Ability to follow orders as given and exercise good judgment in emergencies.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Some knowledge of common labor methods and practices, some knowledge of existing hazards and safety precautions of the work and desire to learn the duties inherent in the operation of a power plant.  Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions and to establish and maintain a good working relationship with others. The ability to acquire a Stationary Engineer's License 3rd Class issued by the State of Ohio within fifteen months of the trainee appointment.
