NOTICE:  Entrance Examination for Police Officer, City of Dover

Dover Civil Service Commission will give an open competitive examination for the position of Police Officer, Police Department, City of Dover, according to the Ohio Revised Code Section 124.

All applicants shall file with the Civil Service Commission, an application for examination no later than Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 4:00 P.M Applications are available in the Mayor’s/Safety Director’s Office at Dover City Hall or you may obtain an application from the City of Dover website. A $20.00 fee for testing shall be paid at the time the employment application is filed with the Civil Service Commission. Those applicants who cannot afford to pay the $20.00 testing fee may sign a poverty affidavit and submit it along with the employment application to the Civil Service Commission.
