Job Title: Journeyman Lineman

Job Description:

The City of Dover, Ohio is seeking three positions for Journeyman Lineman ($34.88) through Apprentice I ($27.99) after probationary period.  

Requires completion of a recognized lineworker apprenticeship training program.  Must have a valid Ohio Commercial Driver License.  Must have knowledge of mechanical tools; Able to demonstrate ability to climb a pole;  Demonstrate the use of basic line tools and identify basic line apparatus, ie; Cutouts, lightning arrestors, insulators, deadend bells, etc.  Ability to follow written and oral instructions; Ability to learn the principles and practices of electric line construction and maintenance; Excellent physical condition; Ability to perform all classes of dead work and live work up to 300 volts,;

Completion of a standard high school diploma or equivalent; Some experience or combination of experience and training which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Excellent benefits.
