The Fire and Police Departments have been helping make Dover one of the safest cities in America for over 200 years.

Providing service that extends past law enforcement and fire fighting, both departments pride themselves on staying involved with the city and its residents, providing safety education and resources to make Dover one of the best communities in which to live.

Through the Tuscarawas County Sheriff's Department, a reverse 911 system has been designed to alert residents of emergency. By being a resident with land-line service, you are automatically in the system for the alerts. However, residents must register on the Tuscarawas County Sheriff's Department web site to receive alerts on cellular phones. To sign up or to learn more about reverse 911 alerts,click here.
