WELCOME TO THE 31st CITY OF DOVER FARMERS' MARKET
GUIDELINES FOR THE MARKET 1979 31st YEAR 2010
For 31 years, the City of Dover has been hosting its annual Farmer’s Market which began in 1979 under the leadership of Council Women Janet Comella. Over the years the market has had several locations and we’re pleased to again, provide the beautiful setting of our city park for this years market. The market will run each Thursday beginning July 8th thru September 30th from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30a.m. We encourage local gardeners to bring their home grown produce, flowers, plants, fruits, berries, honey, homemade jams and jellies (provided they are properly labeled with name, address and phone number of the maker), along with your favorite baked good items and a display table.
Vendors are asked to park along the Field 1 Baseball Diamond in designated parking spots and set up in the lawn area facing the ball field in conjunction with your vehicle. Vendor set-up begins at 7:00 A.M.
As in the past, the following items are not permitted to be sold at the market; cream filled pies, custard pies, pumpkin pies, processed fresh or frozen meats, home canned food items, craft items, and live animals. City personnel who monitor the market will ask the vendor to remove the item from display. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
While at the City Park vendors and shoppers will have access to the park restrooms, drinking fountains and a lot of green grass. The closest restroom is located near the tennis courts. Drinking fountains and trash cans are located throughout the park. Vendors, at the end of the morning, we ask that the area used has been cleaned of all debris and placed in a trash can. Exiting the park can be done at the North Wooster Avenue/23rd Street traffic light or at the exit road near the bend in the park road. When ready to leave the park pull out of your parking space onto the park road and exit.
We’re looking forward to another successful farmer’s market that will be enjoyed by many of our residents and neighbors. Kindly direct any questions or comments to the on site city official or contact the Mayor’s office at 330-343-6726.
Whether your a vendor or a shopper we hope you enjoy this years....
CITY OF DOVER 31st ANNUAL FARMER’S MARKET
Keeping our streets well maintained and cleared of snow and leaves might seem like a small thing to some, but we think it's an example of our city pride.
