OPENING DAY
Dover pool will open for the season on Saturday, May 29 (weather permitting). The pool will open daily at 11:00 a.m. Admission is $2.00 per person. A 12-punch swim pass is available for $20.00. The punch pass can be purchased at the pool.
SWIM LESSONS
Students must be age 6 and completed kindergarten to enter the swim program. There are six levels to this swim program. First session is July 5-16. Second session is July 19-30. Cost $15.00 for each session. Students may use goggles in lessons, but no mask.
TENNIS LESSONS
Tennis is offered for students ages 5 thru 17 on Tuesday and Thursday. Cost for Munchkin (ages
5-7) and Juniors (ages 8-11) is $30.00. Cost for Juniors (ages 12-17) and Intermediate/Advanced (ages 11-17) is $40.00. First session is June 8 - July 1. Second session is July 6 - 29. Adult tennis is also offered for ages 18 and up. They meet on Wednesday evenings for four weeks. First session begins June 2 and second session begins July 7. Cost is $35.00 per session.
GOLF LESSONS
Golf instruction will be at Auman Timbers Golf Course, located at 4120 S.R. 516 NW, Dover, with Diane Phillips, instructor. Classes for juniors, ages 7-17, will be held on Wednesdays, June 9, 16, 23 and 30, cost $45.00. Adult new golfer/beginner classes, ages 18 and up, will be offered on Thursdays, June 3, 10, 17 and 24, cost $65.00.
BOYS & GIRLS YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMP
This camp is open to all youth in third through sixth grade next school year. The camp will be held August 2 - 5, 2010. Camp Director is Dover High School basketball coach Bob VonKaenel. Cost $20.00.
POOL PARTY RENTAL
Monday, May 24, is the first day to make swimming pool reservations for the 2010 season. The reservation line forms at the front door of MEMORIAL HALL, from 7:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m. Individuals, families or groups may rent the pool any evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Pool rentals will start on Thursday, June 10, 2010, and end Sunday, August 15, 2010. The rental fee is $70.00. The entire rental fee is due at the time of reservation. Pool rentals are limited to one per person and are on a first come, first serve basis.
PICNIC SHELTER RENTAL
Reservations for picnic shelters start on the first working day of each new year. Four shelters in Dover City Park can be rented for family reunions, picnics, etc., from May 29, 2010, through September 12, 2010. The fee for half a shelter, which can seat 45-50 people is $15.00. An entire shelter seats 90-100 people and rents for $25.00. Reservations can be made at Memorial Hall. The picnic shelter along the pool road is on a first come, first serve basis.
