Sanitary Sewer Information

Sewer Systems all over have been experiencing equipment failure and sewer system back-up due to products considered flush-able wipes.  Please do not dispose of the following items into the sanitary sewer:

  • Baby wipes
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Household cleaning wipes
  • Paper towels
  • Diapers
  • Q-tips
  • Tampons or applicators
  • Sanitary napkins
  • Contraceptive devices
  • Clothing
  • Cooking oils or grease

The items listed above can cause costly sewage backups in your home or your neighborhoods for extended periods.  Your toilets, sewer lines and City infrastructure are only intended for toilet paper and human waste.  Please do not treat them as household trash cans.
